Great computer Dennis Ritchie died in 70

New York Times reported that Ritchie’s body was found at his home in New Jersey.

While working at Bell Labs in the 1960s and early 70s, Ritchie served as Chief Designer and have developed technology c Unix operating system. C, famous for its clear, simple, will become an essential tool in the development of the website, while Unix is the Foundation for computer operating systems such as Apple iOS.

“Tools that Dennis was built — and their descendants directly-run almost all today,” Brian Kerhighan, Ritchie’s colleague at Bell Labs, told the Times.

According to reports, Ritchie has been treated for prostate cancer and heart disease.

Ritchie news death comes just days after the death of one of the founders of Apple’s Steve Jobs, and, while their respective contributions to computer science may invite comparisons with two, Ritchie and led very different lives, according to historian Paul Ceruzzi computer.
